Choosing Transition Trees
September 8, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach unit of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources. We design and deliver community programs to residents of Clark County with other agencies and volunteers. We learn about the needs of our county and develop programs to meet them. We offer education, training and instruction in Health & Nutrition; Children, Youth & Families; and Water, Horticulture, Economics & Environment.
If you need to replace trees that have failed this class is for you! Lisa Ortega, an Urban Forestry Program coordinator, will help homeowners in “Choosing Transition Trees” including: the best trees for our area, choosing good trees, why trees are important to a community and planning for the future.
(If participants would like to view the museum there is a $5 fee for adults. Members and children ages 17 and younger are free)
